
Coconut oil is a saturated fat and you may have heard that saturated fats increase your cholesterol but that’s not true when it comes to coconut oil.
1. 2009 study below found that coconut oil does not increase your bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases the good cholesterol (HDL).
2. Same 2009 study also found that women with fat around the tummy saw a reduction in abdominal fat and decreased the circumference of the waist by taking 2 tablespoons of coconut oil per day, that is why you hear that coconut oil helps you lose weight.

3. Another weight loss benefit is that the capric acid in coconut oil has been shown to reduce appetite.
